Dear Friends,

In 2010, we found many creative ways to connect community need with our ability to help. We offered assistance on the Sears Hill Pedestrian Bridge project; we partnered to place financial aid advisors in all nine area high schools; we increased the scope of our local grant making; and much more.

We hit the streets, meeting with individuals and organizations. We strengthened our relationships with non-profits in the region, both online and in- person. We introduced our donors to a new publication, “Local Philanthropy In Action,” so they could learn more about the stories that their gifts bring to life.

In 2010, our financial management team kept us fully invested and we saw a 14.76 % increase in the market value of our largest portfolio. New gifts totaled nearly $1 million, enabling us to increase grantmaking when needs were significant.

To all of you who lead our community by connecting, serving, and inspiring — we are grateful for your resourcefulness and energy, your enthusiasm and ingenuity, and your generosity. We are especially thankful for our donors who helped make 2010 one of the most productive years in our organization’s proud history. Your commitment moves our foundation forward, heightens our impact, and sparks greater generosity.

Please help us spread the word, so that others may connect with us, and channel their passion for this community now and for the long term.

Sincerely,
