n 2004, Elsie Chittum created a donor-advised fund in honor of her late husband Leonard. The fund supports organizations such as the Community
Childcare Center for which Mrs. Chittum was a co-founder. Together with her son Rick, Elsie is actively engaged in managing charitable donations
and continues to make her mark on the community. She looks forward to the near future when her grandson Brodie will also become involved in making
donor recommendations. “My parents were active volunteers for many years, but that era has passed for them and we’ve found this is a great way
to stay involved,” offers Rick Chittum. “It’s gratifying to think that with our gift we are helping to build an endowment that will increase in
size and someday provide substantial support to the community.”
