2012 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge administers over 20 scholarship funds for graduating seniors and adults pursuing higher education. Each scholarship has its own specific purpose, selection and eligibility criteria. The selection process is managed in a variety of ways, depending on the wishes of the donor. All scholarships are competitive and will be selected based on the pool of qualified applicants. Scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational institutions where the successful candidates are enrolled.

2012 TIMELINE:

  • April 5, 2012 by 5:00 p.m.- Scholarship Application Deadline
  • May-June 2012- Award selections made and notification letters mailed
  • July 2012-Scholarship checks mailed directly to the college or university

  • Official Transcript and SAT Scores
  • Two letters of Recommendation

Some scholarships require:

  • Supplemental application or additional documents as required by the scholarship
  • Statement of Financial Need
