2013 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge administers over 22 scholarship funds for graduating seniors and adults pursuing higher education. Each scholarship has its own specific purpose, selection and eligibility criteria. The selection process is managed in a variety of ways, depending on the wishes of the donor. All scholarships are competitive and will be selected based on the pool of qualified applicants. Scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational institutions where the successful candidates are enrolled. The Community Foundation is thrilled to announce scholarship availability of nearly $50,000 this year. Thank you scholarship sponsors!

2013 Scholarship Timeline:

  • February 2013- Announcement of 2013 Scholarships
  • April 11, 2013- Scholarship due date
  • June 2013- Award selections made and notification letters mailed
  • July 2013-Scholarship checks mailed directly to the college or university

Scholarships are listed first by geographic location, then by high school and lastly are the adult scholarships. Applications are electronic this year and must be completed online. You must click on each scholarship link to apply for that scholarship.
