Fahrenheit 451 - A Reader’s Theater Production

Location: Mockingbird, 123 W. Beverley Street, Staunton Enjoy fabulous artisan fare at Mockingbird, while enjoying a reader’s theater version of Fahrenheit 451. This dinner theater production, directed by the acclaimed Diane Stewart, will star well-known folks from across the community. Classic Film Festival - Much Ado about Nothing introduced by the American Shakespeare Center
Location:Waynesboro Public Library, Lower Level, Waynesboro Each Friday in March the Waynesboro Public Library will present a FREE showing of a classic film as part of the Big Read. Prior to the showing of the first movie in the Classic Film Festival, the Waynesboro Public Library presents a special appearance and introduction from the American Shakespeare Center and Blackfriar's Playhouse. "Much Ado about Nothing," directed by Kenneth Branaugh, stars Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, and Kate Beckinsale.

Fahrenheit 451 Dinner and Music

Location: Stone Soup Books and Cafe, Waynesboro Vocalist Nancy Frumen and guitarist Gene Blackmer combine their talents as “Daydreams, ” performing old standards from the 1920’s to the 1950’s, including songs by the Gershwin brothers, Rogers and Hart, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, and Johnny Mercer. Nancy is a veteran of the musical comedy stage and Gene has been a part of the local music scene for the last thirty years. Their music will invoke fond memories of a time when some think music was at its best. Dinner is served from 6:00 – 9:00. Music from 6:15 to 8:30. No cover charge. Space limited. Fahrenheit 451 - The Movie!

Location: The Visulite Cinema, 12 North Augusta Street, Staunton
Enjoy a FREE showing on the big screen of the 1966 film starring Julie Christie, Oskar Werner and Cyril Cusack. This faithful adaptation of Bradbury’s book was directed by Francois Truffaut, with Nicholas Roeg on camera and a score by Bernard Herrman. It was Truffaut’s only English film, and was noted for its excellent acting, production design, and strong visuals.
