Community Foundation Now Accepting John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship Applications
The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge is now accepting applications for the John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship through November 15, 2010. The John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 by Asher and Laura-Jean Brand and the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, in memory and in honor of Mr. Greene, who was a dedicated member of the Waynesboro First Aid Crew and Waynesboro Fire Department.
The John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship was established to provide funds for educational scholarships to Waynesboro First Aid Crew members and/or their family members and Waynesboro Fire Department members and/or their family members. There will be ten $1,000 scholarships available for the 2011-2012 school year. There are no restrictions to the school or field of study. High school seniors and adults returning to college are encouraged to apply.
The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge administers over 25 scholarship funds for graduating seniors and adults pursuing higher education.
